Special Delivery Family Birthing Center

Bridgton Hospital's Special Delivery Family Birthing Center combines the security of new technology with the warmth of a private, homelike setting where your family can be comfortable. Our spacious and attractive suites provide a private environment where a family can welcome its newest member. Dad or another support person are always welcome to stay too. Our Special Delivery Unit features a warm and comfortable private suite, including Jacuzzi bath, state-of-theart equipment, built-in window seat sofa for a family member to rest or sleep, and a newborn nursery. Our state-of-the-art infant security system provides peace of mind. Should complications arise, Special Delivery has 24-hour cesarean section capability and a direct link to the Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit at CMMC.

Our family practice physicians and our Obstetrician/Gynecologist are available to help deliver your baby. Together with our specially trained nursing staff we are dedicated to providing your family with the most rewarding birth experience and enjoyable stay here at the Family Birthing Center. We offer 'A Special Delivery for You, a special dinner our dietary department prepares for you and your husband or significant other the evening before being discharged. Our comprehensive newborn services include breastfeeding support provided by a certified lactation counselor.
