Frequently Asked Questions

What is a clinic?
A clinic is a convenient place for a patient to receive special services that may not otherwise be offered locally. A physician practicing at CMMC travels to Bridgton for the convenience of the patient.

Can I call to make an appointment?
You must be referred by your family physician who will help to determine if you need to see a specialty physician.

Why was I referred to a clinic?
Your physician has identified a special need that can be best addressed through a Specialty Clinic.

Do I need to register when I arrive?
Yes, if you have never been in our hospital system. No, if you have been registered within the last 30 days, we will have your papers ready.

Do I need any specific papers?
Yes, please bring your insurance information with you.

If I have questions relating to the Clinic, is there someone I can call?
Yes; call 647-6120, 8:30AM to 4:30PM. We are closed weekends and holidays.

Will the Specialty Clinic doctor be my doctor after the visit?
Your specialty physician will focus on the diagnosis that pertains to their specialty.

How long will I be at the Clinic?
The time varies depending on the treatment required. If the doctor orders a test you could be there for an hour or longer. Sometimes it makes more sense for us to schedule another appointment to complete the tests.
